# For authors

> How Yellowbrick works with writers, how to get listed, and how to claim or correct your profile.

Yellowbrick indexes research from blogs, newsletters, fund letters, Twitter, and similar sources. Many authors already have a profile. This page is for writers and funds who want to be listed, claim that profile, or sell research through Yellowbrick.

## Our promise to authors

Authors are the reason Yellowbrick exists. Readers come here to find your work. Our job is to bring you that audience so you can spend your time on research.

You keep your audience. Subscriber payments go to your own Stripe Connect account. We index pitches, categorize them, and track returns. We do not take the relationship with your readers.

## Joining Yellowbrick

If you want to be listed, email [feedback@joinyellowbrick.com](mailto:feedback@joinyellowbrick.com). Write from an email that is clearly tied to the publication, and include:

* The publication name and how readers find you today
* How we can access your stock pitches (site, newsletter archive, Twitter, fund letters, or similar)
* Access to paywalled pitches if you have them, so we can index those too

We will list paywalled pitches so we can compute returns. The write-up stays locked until you are set up to take payments on Yellowbrick. Once Stripe Connect is connected, readers can subscribe or buy that work here.

## Claim your account

If we already indexed you, email [feedback@joinyellowbrick.com](mailto:feedback@joinyellowbrick.com) and tell us you want to claim the profile. Include:

* The Yellowbrick handle (for example `@aurelionresearch`)
* A link to the site, newsletter, or social account we indexed
* The email you want on the claimed account

We will match it to the existing record and send you access. Do not create a second profile for the same author.

## Elite and Rising

We tag some authors **Elite** or **Rising**. Readers see the badge on your pitches and profile.

**Elite** means we consider your track record proven: realized returns and consistency, not audience size.

**Rising** means we think you are worth following while that record is still being built.

You cannot apply these tags yourself. They are not a paid placement. If you believe a tag is missing or wrong, email us with the handle and we will take a look.

Readers can also filter Home to **Elite Only**. That list is Elite authors only. Rising authors are not included. See [Elite and Rising](/guides/follow-authors#elite-and-rising) for how this looks on the reader side.

## Fix errors on your record or pitches

We get most pitches from public posts. Titles, tickers, dates, and tags can be wrong.

Email [feedback@joinyellowbrick.com](mailto:feedback@joinyellowbrick.com) with:

* Your handle
* The pitch link or pitch ID if you have it
* What is wrong and what it should say

Readers can also click **Report an Error** on a pitch. Those reports come to us the same way. If you already claimed the account, mention that so we can prioritize your corrections.

## Preferred partners

Preferred partners are authors who work with Yellowbrick more closely. Readers who have Yellowbrick Premium get a discount on that author's subscription (often 30%). The discount shows up on locked pitches and in the unlock dialog.

If you sell research and want that placement, email [feedback@joinyellowbrick.com](mailto:feedback@joinyellowbrick.com) and ask about becoming a preferred partner. Include your handle and how readers currently subscribe.

<Note>
  Listing, claiming a profile, tags, and preferred partner status are all manual. Write in. We will reply.
