v0.12.0

Share cards for everyone

Anyone can now generate and share pitch and author cards. Shared cards link back to the source pitch or author page, and long pitch text is clipped so previews stay readable. The left sidebar now includes direct links to Docs and Blog. Pitch leaderboard ranking is now weighted to a recent performance window.

Author and premium experience updates

Author controls now include clearer follow and subscribe actions with a notification bell. Author hover cards and profiles are more complete, and thesis series cards now show premium badges.

Reading and archive quality improvements

Session document routes now honor inline disposition rules, and archive PDFs are formatted to fit letter pages more reliably.

Fixes

  • Premium discount cards stay visible on screen.
  • Locked premium pitches are omitted from thesis series.
  • Follow actions no longer make rows disappear.
  • Right-rail stock chart timeframes are more stable.
  • Premium-company data remains hidden for unauthorized viewers.

Company watchlists

Premium members can watch companies from a hover card, the company page, or Watchlist in the sidebar. Watching always adds the company to All Watchlist; named lists are optional folders on top.Import a screenshot, PDF, or pasted tickers to extract companies, confirm the matches, and add them in bulk. Pitches on any email-enabled list can appear in the daily morning email and blog digest. Turn lists on or off under email settings. See Watch companies.

Morning email improvements

Improved the morning email layout to make it clearer, more readable and engaging. Users now explicitly see which authors and filters contributed pitches to the email.

Archiving of original pitches

Users can now access the full original pitch along with images and attachements archives in multiple formats (PDF, HTML, or Markdown). Users can access pitch archives through the app as well as the API.

Improved Pitch cards

Pitch cards use the full card width on smaller screens. Layout for pitch-forward returns, author returns and dates is clearer and more consistent.

Smoother navigation

Improved logic and caching for preserving scroll position when navigating between pages.Company names on pitch cards, pitch pages, and the right rail now open that company’s page.

CEO Watcher API

CEO Watcher Premium subscribers can now access insider trading data through an API. Create an API key on Developer. See CEO Watcher API overview for details.

Keyword filter

Home has a Keyword chip. One term matches title, company, ticker, write-up, author, and tags. Word forms match each other (buybacks finds buyback). Save it on a filter set so it applies to alerts and the morning email too. Use None of to exclude that term.

Author and company filters

Author and Company chips let you include or exclude one person or ticker. They combine with the rest of the row and with saved sets. On an author page you only get Company. On a company page you only get Author.Saved sets that include a keyword, author, or company return those fields from GET /api/v1/filter-sets.

Fundamentals as of the pitch date

Price, market cap, P/E, EV/EBITDA, and EV/Sales on the card are as of the pitch date, not today’s live print. The company rail on the pitch page is still live.

Improved Navigation for Discover and Leaderboard

Discover and Leaderboard are in the left nav. Discover is authors and companies to follow. Leaderboard is top authors and top pitches.

Elite, Rising, and Elite Only Explained

Hover or tap an Elite or Rising badge, or Elite Only, for a short explanation of what each means. See Elite and Rising.

Fixes

Improved stying and layout for author cards and leaderboards. Better error handling for different sections within the app.

Public API

Premium members can create one API key on Profile and query companies, authors, tags, saved filter sets, and pitches. The key is a Bearer token. Locked author pitches stay in the results with the write-up withheld. See API overview and Authentication.

Company snapshot on pitches

Pitch cards and pitch pages now include a company snapshot: short description, price chart, and fundamentals.Tickers show a country flag. Sector labels are shorter. Long company descriptions are clipped until you expand them.

Original article card

The source link on a pitch is now an Original article card with the site favicon, title, and host. It still opens the author’s post in a new tab.

Email settings

Manage the daily morning digest and which saved filter sets can contribute pitches from Email settings. Links in the morning email open that page signed in, so you do not have to hunt through the app.

Onboarding and mobile

The first-run tour covers authors and mobile. Navigation, Elite Only, and search behave more reliably on small screens.

Author pitch counts

Portfolio actions now count toward an author’s pitch total on their profile.Forward navigation scrolls you to the top of the next page instead of leaving you mid-scroll.
v0.5.0

None of on tag filters

Each filter chip now has Any of and None of. Use None of to exclude a type, for example every pitch in a sector you do not want. See Browse the feed.

Notifications per filter set

Saved filter sets each have their own notification switch. Turn a set off if you still want it on Home but not in email or alerts.

Layout across screen sizes

The app shell scales across breakpoints so Home, pitch pages, and the side rails stay usable from phone to wide desktop.

Morning email preview

The daily inbox preview uses the same voice as the rest of the morning digest, so the subject and snippet match the email you open.
v0.4.0

Author and pitch quality filters

Premium members can filter Home by author badge (Elite or Rising), author return, win rate, and pitch return. Those chips sit with Strategy, Sector, and the rest of the row.

Authors to follow

The Authors to follow rail ranks people by recent returns and win rate, so Elite and Rising names with a real record show up first. See Follow authors.

Documentation

This docs site launched: quickstart, feed and author guides, Premium, and (later) the API.

Fixes

  • The one-time sign-in code screen no longer offers a broken Open Gmail shortcut.
  • The daily email intro uses the live catalog counts instead of a stale number.
v0.2.0

Premium gating

Yellowbrick Premium now gates Elite Only, extra saved filter sets, and bookmarks. Those tools stay off until the membership is active.Premium does not unlock an author’s paywalled pitches. That still takes a subscription to that author.

Author profiles

Author pages can show a website and social links.

Special Situations Digest

Premium members get a member discount on Special Situations Digest. Other partner rates live on Premium.

Pitch pages

Pitch and pitch-list pages got a layout pass. The chart window and returns overlay stay put when you change timeframes.

Fixes

  • The daily morning email no longer sends duplicates.
  • Social links in the app point at the Yellowbrick accounts.
